Guarantees and risk mitigation
The loan is secured against a tangible asset (property, vehicle, machinery) which can be repossessed and sold to recover your money if the borrower defaults
Main type
The originator undertakes to buy back the loan from you if the borrower is more than X days in arrears, repaying you the principal and interest. This is subject to the originator remaining solvent.
Buyback
A financial buffer that the platform sets aside from its own commission to cover defaults before they affect you. Its effectiveness depends on its actual size relative to the total amount lent.
Reserve fund
The originator invests a portion of its own capital in the same loan or portfolio alongside the investors, thereby aligning its interests with those of the investors in ensuring that the loan is repaid in full.
Skin in the game
Your uninvested money is held in an account separate from the company’s balance sheet, at a bank or regulated payment institution. If the platform goes bankrupt, that money is not included in the distribution to its creditors.

InvantAPPs Summary
What is Monefit Smartsaver?
MONEFIT SMARTSAVER is an Estonian passive investment platform operated by Monefit Investments OÜ and backed 100% by the Creditstar Group financial group. The platform offers a return of 7.5% on its flexible account and up to 10.52% on its fixed-term products known as Vaults. It is specifically designed for retail and conservative investors seeking a liquid, automated and high-yield alternative to traditional savings accounts, whilst accepting the associated risk.
Monefit SmartSaver, founded in 2022 and managed by Monefit Investments OÜ, has established itself in the sector with over 30,000 investors and assets under management totalling 80 million euros as at June 2026. Its key differentiating feature lies in the extreme simplicity of its passive product, offering an interest rate of 7.5% on its flexible account and free instant withdrawals via SEPA with limits of up to 1,000 euros per month. However, at Invant APPs we urge technical caution: the capital is not covered by any bank deposit guarantee scheme, and the health of the ecosystem depends on a single originator (Creditstar Group), whose loan portfolio recorded a non-performing loan ratio of 24% as at June 2026. Furthermore, Creditstar has historically experienced liquidity strains and delays on other platforms in the sector, meaning that counterparty risk is very real and concentrated. We consider it a flexible option for generating returns on surplus liquidity, provided that exposure is limited within a diversified portfolio.
